This page is for NHS Percussionists to learn about audition requirements, general information, and more.
Note: In addition to Drumline Auditions, percussionists must submit an audition video on May 11th containing your chromatic scale, major scales, and audition etude. Scales should be 2 Octaves. New Percussionists must also sight-read in person at NHS on May 12th and 13th.

Drumline Auditions will be in person on May 22nd and May 23rd, 2026. See the Calendar for times. Attendance is required to secure a battery position on the Eagle Pride Drumline.
Material for the auditions can be found below. Students are expected to prepare ALL available parts (snare, bass, tenors, cymbals) as they may not be selected for their “first choice” due to the limited number we can take on battery instruments.
